ALU SOLAR - the symbioses of Triple Junction Technology and roof-integrated photovoltaic systems

Aluform standing seam profiles are prefabricated folding systems for the application in the roof area. Due to the elaborate and optimal joining technology, they can be quickly and easily installed. The Aluform standing seam profile 65/500 and 65/600 pro has been specially developed for application in the photovoltaic systems integrated in the construction.

The development of the new ALU SOLAR® roof profiles is based on the innovative and flexible solar products of UNI-SOLAR®, which fit perfectly with the light and durable Aluform roof system ALUFALZ®.

The unique Triple Junction Technology utilizes the blue, green and red parts of sunlight in different layers of the solar cell. As a result, a higher degree of efficiency is reached in cases of minor solar radiation or diffuse light as compared to crystalline solar cells. Even with partial shadowing, electricity generation is still possible through the cells interconnected with bypass diodes.

Another advantage of the amorphous thin-layer solar cells - in comparison to crystalline cells - is the constant power output even with increasing temperatures, whereas crystalline solar modules result in a considerable energy loss. In contrast, our ALU SOLAR® modules have complete performance capability, whenever it is most needed.

As in comparison to crystalline solar cells, the thickness of thin-layer cells is considerably smaller, which leads to significantly lower material costs. The process temperatures during production are also much lower, which result in a significantly better energy balance in comparison to the traditional crystalline solar products.

The aluminium panels are delivered together with the solar laminates to the construction site. The assembly of the solar system takes place simultaneously with the assembly of the roof panel. In comparison to the assembly costs of traditional crystalline modules - including the necessary substructure - the installation time and resulting costs are considerably reduced.
